What a relief it is that we serve a God who knows how the world operates. It is a beauty that we don’t have to worry about making things move so this world can run and operate efficiently; imagine the stress of having to make it happen if it was our job, the task would be unbearable. I find great comfort and joy knowing that everything is under control around me, and greater relief comes from the fact that I have nothing to do with it meaning that I am free to enjoy!From previously working with events and managing things around me as well as the way things go about I found it to be very difficult to be on a mode to relax and enjoy when I am having to think about twenty things at once as well as emotions and feelings of whether or not people are enjoying the show being played out before their eyes. On the other hand, I am able to experience firsthand the daily relief, peace, and enjoyment of just being me and having fun in that which is being played out around me. When we walk with the Lord, He is the event coordinator and we are the guests simply enjoying the setting and show God has played out around us.
Through this I think about days I spend serving in Moria Camp here in Lesvos where there is always “chaos,” “anger,” and many more emotions from people who are unsatisfied with their accommodations, food, clothing, shoes or even life. It is in these days where many people are full of complaint, anger, and fear that I know that God is in control. The answer to their problems is not m but the God in me. For some God leads me to walk in joy and spread it, for others, I am to walk and bring peace to those I encounter. In all cases, God is in control and has brought me to their side in order to let Jesus be through me, that which is that they need. God is in control.

“He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge – The Lord – knows the thoughts of man.”
Psalm 94:9-11

The truth is. . . God is almighty, the creator of all. From thoughts, voice, sight or creation; He is in it all. It was all created in Him, by Him and for Him. The question is, why do we feel that we can hide from God as if He is not with us, or sees us or hears our voices or thoughts? There is nowhere we can hide from God’s unfailing love. We are living in God’s playground and the best part is that it is all in act of a demonstration of His unfailing love for us and toward us.

“Where shall I go from your spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and there your right hand shall hold me.”
Psalm 139:7-10

How beautiful is it that the God looking after us that has the best in mind and heart for us is everywhere and in everything. With that as our hearts, all will ever be good for us. It is when we live out of that knowledge that God is for us and God is with us and around us that life will gain even more value for us and bring forth greater desire to follow the Lord.

I truly encourage you to look around at all you have, all you are and all God has blessed you with and see that He has the best in mind for you. When things look bad, He has the best in mind for you, when things are good, he has the best for you. It is in everything that you have the advantage so I urge you… Enjoy it and enjoy Him!
