UntoGod

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working unto God, not for human masters." Colossians 3:23

  • Within the Will

There is something beautiful about walking in the will of God for your life. No matter where you go and how tough things may seem, He always pulls through and takes care of those He loves. For those who know me, you may or may not know that I am very close with my family. And when I say close, I mean Siamese twin-like. Being close like that is both a blessing and a curse in some way. It is a blessing because no matter what, you know that you always have a group of individuals who love you and are there to back you up completely through all that life offers. At the same time it is a curse because whenever the family is apart, times are a little tough because of how much everyone misses each other and works off of each other. (more…)

  • It’s Time

Well, it’s that time of the year… The weather is cold, the skies are cloudy, and I’m in the corner of an airport staring at a row of empty chairs and unoccupied payphones awaiting for the time to board the plane and continue my journey to make God known. All this time in the past few months have come down to this very moment. The nerves are going uncontrollably, the butterflies are starting to peacefully fly within my stomach and as time approaches, the more the temperature continues to rise. I am not sure if it is because of the nerves, emotions or the beaming sun beaming the back of my neck and back. Yet, as all these events are taking place, I still chose to trust in the one who brought me to this point. (more…)

  • One of the most difficult aspects of Christianity, in my opinion, is attempting to figure out what ministry looks like. As believers, we sometimes tend to overthink things and on occasions go in depth on something God intended for us to take literal, as well as taking something literal that is much more profound. • Stepping Stones

If there is something that we all have in common, it’s that we all have problems that we deal with on a daily basis. Wherever we turn: whether left, right, back or forward, there always seems to be this wall standing in our way. Interestingly enough, each of these walls has a name to them, whether it is doubt, anxiety, fear, addictions, depression, etc., they are all named. And whether we like it or not, in life we have to learn to get past these walls, no matter their level of difficulty. (more…)

  • King of Kings

There’s a song I used to listen to back in the day by Nas that goes a little something like this:

“If I ruled the world, imagine that
I’d free all my sons, I love ’em love ’em baby”

  • Dream On!

What ever happened to the bold, strong-willed, dedicated, inspiring people that would go around with dreams so big that it’d be impossible to sleep at night due to its profoundness? Where did all of those individuals go that, just by sharing their hopes and dreams for their futures, would cause the ones in others to arise? I don’t know about you but I strongly believe that they are still out there in the world walking around with a light within themselves that’s ready to burst out as creativity. (more…)

  • Stay Connected

We live in a time in which the phrase “Stay Connected” is used frequently by people, businesses, churches and etc. and the phrase has a universal meaning. . . Social Media. Staying connected is the engine that makes our blood flow and without it, our ships would sink. (more…)

  • Treasure

Treasures – we all want them, we desire to have them and, on some occasions, we would give up anything to acquire them. When you think of the word “treasure,” what do you think of? . . . (Think, think, think) . . . Whether you actually thought of something or just read on, I’ll go ahead and tell you my observation: when people think of a treasure, they think of a beautiful chest full of gold, silver and other precious metals that are even priceless in some instances. But the truth of the matter is that a treasure can be far more than just scrap metal in a box.

  • Let Your Light Shine

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the biblical phrase of “shine God’s light.” It is a term that is used repeatedly whether it be in the same church or different geographic locations. Just like many phrases we use now in days, it is a little difficult to understand what the phrase truly means. Within the Christian bubble, it is easier to know the lingo and slang because it is used very frequently, but what happens when somebody is new to church? I guarantee that the person is as lost as the one sheep Jesus spoke of in Luke 15:1-7.

  • Microwave Society

Microwaves – such a great invention within the correct context of its use. They’re good for heating up food, defrosting them, or, if you’re like me, reheating the coffee you made but forgot about while preparing for the day. But there’s one thing that microwaves are not good for – thoroughly cooking food. When heating, they don’t allow the food to be prepared to the best of its potential and the flavors don’t get soaked up in a way that burst in your mouth after every bite. Although they’re great for certain occasions, society has taken the concept of microwaving to a whole new level.
